Many pet food brands are made by third-party processors and are often outsourced overseas. COOKIE PAL is made in Canada in our owned facilities so we can carefully monitor production and commit to quality standards.

The shelf life of our biscuits is 18-months, and our soft baked bites is 12-months. But don’t worry. They taste so good you probably won’t be able to keep them in stock at your home for long anyway! The best before date is printed on the back of each package. You may notice that other brands have a longer shelf life. This is often due to the addition of chemical preservatives which COOKIE PAL does not contain.

We produce all products in our own facility in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.

Plastic pollution is the most significant environmental crisis of our time. We’ve partnered with rePurpose Global to fund the collection and ethical processing of as much nature-bound plastic waste as we create in our packaging. We contribute a percentage of every package purchased to enable the removal of plastic waste from our environment. By collecting hard-to-recycle waste that’s considered too low of value to be reclaimed from the environment, we can help contribute to the environment in a positive way.

We are a True Silver Zero Waste business. That means that a minimum of 90% of our waste is reused, recycled, composted or recovered for use in nature. From paperless offices to a sophisticated recycling system, we follow rigorous processes and submit 12 months of data each year for scientific evaluation by a third-party expert.

We source all ingredients right here in North America. This is important for us to maintain our accreditation, to help fuel the local economy and to maintain a strong supply chain so COOKIE PAL is available wherever you shop.

It means COOKIE PAL is made from ingredients that have been produced and grown without any chemical fertilizers, pesticides or genetically modified plants. The farming practices used to grow organic food are designed to encourage soil and water conservation and reduce pollution. That means you benefit from fewer chemical contaminants that enter your body, and everyone benefits from farming practices that are better for the environment.

Essentially, it’s the difference between the ingredient quality. Organic focuses more on how ingredients are grown, while natural is more about how ingredients are processed. COOKIE PAL uses both organic and natural ingredients.

To claim that a product is organic, it must comply with the USDA Organic Standard.

To claim that a product is natural, it cannot contain any additives or preservatives. Nothing, except water, can be removed from the ingredient and it must be minimally processed.

We know that pet owners and pets themselves have different preferences and tastes. The premium grains in our oat-based products are preferred by some customers. Other customers may prefer grain-free treats, so we make some flavours with ground lentils instead.
